Our story
Here’s how Reach Academy Hanworth Park came to be…

Where did it all begin?
After dreaming about their idea of an excellent school, the school founders Jon McGoh, Rebecca Cramer and Ed Vainker OBE came together and agreed that they would apply to open a small, all-through school within the community of Hounslow…
In 2012, we opened our first school in Feltham…
WHY?
Because we believe in the power of all-through education to enable stronger relationships and provide more coherence throughout a child’s educational journey. We wanted to create a community of pupils, parents and teachers united by the highest expectations of what every young person can achieve and the commitment to do whatever it takes to help them get there.
HOW?
Reach Academy Feltham is a small, all-through school with 60 children in each year group (from Reception to Year 13). The school’s small scale ensures that every child can flourish. We are intentional about building strong, trusting relationships and social networks both within and beyond the school’s gates.
Reach Academy Feltham has developed a rigorous, carefully sequenced, backwards-planned, cross-phase curriculum to ensure every child achieves well academically—every lesson, every day—and is well-prepared for the next stage of their journey.

In 2018, we opened our Children’s Hub…
WHY?
Because we realised that a great school is necessary but not sufficient to ensure every child in Feltham can live a life of choice and opportunity.
HOW?
We set up the Reach Children’s Hub to provide an integrated pipeline of support for local children and families to complement the work of our schools. Informed by international evidence and local experiences, the Hub creates space to curate insights and accelerate real change. The Hub’s provision is ever-evolving, responding to our community’s needs. In partnership with a wide range of partners, the Hub currently provides perinatal support, Early Years Workforce training and development, parenting programmes, community organising, careers support and much, much more.

In 2020, we launched a Convening partnership…
WHY?
Because our community wanted a way to come together to improve the experience of being a young person in Hounslow.
HOW?
We’re building collective impact; grounded in a rich understanding of—and led by—our community.
The Partnership is always learning, evolving and improving. We’re committed to developing the capacity and confidence of community leaders; supporting them to maximise their influence on how things are done in the local area—creating unrivalled opportunities for our children and families to create lasting change.

In 2024 we launched our second school, Reach Academy Hanworth Park.
WHY?
Because we want more children to be able to benefit from our approach.
We think it is a travesty that not all children in our country achieve excellent outcomes. We think that everyone deserves the very best education which sets them up for a life of choice and opportunity.
HOW?
We have a very successful model that has been proven over the past 12 years. Our outcomes are excellent and among the best in the country.
We know that there is demand for what we offer locally. We didn’t want to simply expand our current school. We believe that relationships really matter so opening another small, all-through school was the answer.
We can’t wait to meet you!
