Recommended reading for Year 7
We expect our pupils to read widely outside of school. This includes reading books of their choice and non-fiction books (alongside our half-termly reading scheme). These can include books they have already read, graphic novels or books aimed at younger children – see our recommended reads below. We’d love to see our pupils trying to read as many of these titles as possible! You can find out more about any of these books by searching for them on the Book Trust website (www.booktrust.org.uk).

Where can I find or borrow books?
Feltham Library
The Centre, TW13 4AU
Signing your child up for a library card is a great way to access a range of books for free. You can join Feltham Library by visiting the library with your child, or by signing up online. You can search for particular books in the library using the online library catalogue, which is also available on the London Borough of Hounslow website .
You will need to provide proof of ID such as a utility bill, driving licence, passport, debit card or oyster/freedom pass to sign up your child for a library card.
What can your child borrow?
Children aged 0-11 years can borrow up to 10 items on their card and children aged 12 and over can borrow up to 25 items on their card. Books and CDs can be borrowed for up to 3 weeks. Remember to return or renew before the due date, otherwise you will need to pay a small overdue charge.
